If the same UDF is used with multiple Sample Types it would greatly improve the versatility of UDFs if a default value depending on Sample Type could be set. For example, we want to add UDFs showing the vial manufacturer and the vial article number, which varies depending on the Sample Type. Instead of creating a UDF for every variation it would be neat if we could create one UDF for Manufacturer and one for Article Number and change the value depending on the Sample Type that uses the UDF.
