The implementation of native support for the Minimum Information About BIobank data Sharing (MIABIS) standard in FreezerPro would significantly improve interoperability between biobanks, research institutes, and data-sharing infrastructures.
MIABIS has become a widely adopted metadata standard for describing biobanks, sample collections, and associated data. Native MIABIS support would enable organizations using FreezerPro to more easily participate in national and international biobank networks, data catalogs, and federated research initiatives without requiring custom data mapping or export workflows.
