We should consider increasing the maximum to accommodate modern, automated storage units (e.g. HD trays and similar)
We need to consider performance implications and reasonable limits.
We need to consider alternate options for customer storing 200 000 samples without specific position information.
Right now the maximum sample count for a container is 2000 samples.
I'd like to request to increase this limit to 200 000 samples.
We already run into an issue (automation related) because of the low number of allowed samples.

I highly appretiate that you plan to implement bigger containers. However a 100x100 box will not represent the capacity of modern automated freezers.
Additionally I want to emphasize that the container we need must not have fixed positions!!
Right now the only shape type that allows that is "bag". So having "bag" hold up to 200 000k Samples would be the solution to our problem.
HD trays can be 100X100 so we will plan to implement support for this size of container in a near-future release.
We will review in our development meetings and discuss which release this enhancement will be added to. Once we have a timeframe it will be communicated
For better understanding:
We need a box with no fixed positions, that can hold up to 200 000 samples.
