I would like to be able to scan in tubes before I have been able to add the details, such as sample type. Only the barcode would be recorded and could be tracked, then when I have the annotation information, I would update the records to add Sample Type, Sample Group, UDFs etc.

This would help me track sample locations before I have had the chance to properly upload all their information from the different sources.

There is already a pre-scan option for plates of tubes, but I would like to be able to scan in side-coded tubes that have to be scanned individually, either by manually scanning them in individually, or by uploading barcode and location using CSV in bulk.
