I would like the ability to "lock" a sample for editing, so data can't accidentally be changed.

Our FreezerPro instance is a collaborative effort, where samples need to be updated with clinical outcomes regularly, by different people. However, once we have finalised data collection for a sample, I want to be able to "lock" it against further changes to UDF values.

This would need to be reversible in case of errors etc. but would mean people can't accidentally click Save and change things when they didn't mean to, and can see that the data collection for that sample is complete.
