When using 96w FluidX plate with QR-codes, the prescan barcode function is useful to register a barcode that a sample can be added to later. However, it would also be good to be able to REMOVE the prescanned barcode, for instance if a mistake happened or the barcode is left unused..
Currently, its not possible to remove the prescanned barcode. You have to first add a fake sample to the barcode, then delete the sample and the barcode is deleted with it.
The prescanned barcode is also not accessible for editing in any way.

Well that is another way to do it, but i'm afraid its not really an improvement over adding a fake sample and deleting it all.
Whats often the case for us is that a fluidX-plate is placed in the freezer when half full, with unused tubes removed to be reused later. Freezerpro doesn't allow a half full plate to be pre-scanned since it contains samples.
Also, at our department the sample import is often done remotely and by members of our staff that don't work in the lab. An option to delete the barcode without having to go to the lab and start the scanner, or importing and deleting fake-samples would have been so much easier.
If you select 'Prescan' again, you have the option to clear the previous pre-scanned barcodes. Please write back if this doesn't work for you.
