Currently for the on-prem version, there is no mechanism to automatically apply OS security patches, and having up to date patched servers is a requirement for our infrastructure. Currently a support session with Brooks is necessary to apply the patches. It would be more efficient if a mechanism for applying these patches without manual intervention was provided.
And also coupled by the fact that posting of the update files to the downloads page has been completely spotty at best. Checking today and the 7.4.1 and 7.4.2 files have yet to be linked. Had to open a ticket to and go back and forth to get links to the proper update files.
In our setup, the VM is hosted in our HIPAA environment which has not direct access to the internet, so in that sense it is air-gapped. Currently we download and stage the update file on a local system on our network and have FreezerPro grab the update via SSH.
Our On-premise installation with a connection to the internet does seem to download OS security patches nightly, but it does not install them automatically and lets them pile up. When rebooting the system, the count of OS patches needing to be installed is displayed on the console screen and this value increases daily. The FreezerPro technician who remoted to our system has verified this and had to manually install the patches.
On-premise installations with connections to the internet download OS security patches nightly. Is this request referring to the process for updating FreezerPro on an air-gapped network, which does not connect to the internet?
