Currently, the set of icons is fixed unless a request is made to the FreezerPRO team. Would like to be able to import/create sample icons and images at the end-users' level. This would help to cater to the variety of sample types that can be managed in the system.

Custom icons have been released in FreezerPro 8, feature FP-80.

Customization of sample icons is on the roadmap for FreezerPro 8.
I agree too, it would be a great benefit to have that option!
I would also find this useful for our set-up. I would like to use an image depicting the sample type and then superimpose text on top e.g. for placenta samples, an image with either "RNA", "PFA" or "EtOH" to indicate the preservation method and therefore what the sample could be relevant for.
I agree, FreezerPro is being used for so many types of samples and many companies are specialists in what they do that the icons would only be relevant to them.
